This last summer I proposed to my boyfriend, who I met in a Master's program in Dublin Ireland, he was also from the US. He did not say yes, but more importantly, he did not say no. We've been wearing the matching claddagh rings I bought on our RIGHT ring fingers. Last night he changed his Facebook relationship status from "In a relationship" to "Engaged" and then texted me to tell me to go look. Needless to say I was surprised, especially since we had been texting earlier about marriage and he said it would be best to wait. I was pretty much the last to know, but it was soooo sweet.
Today I finally got a hold of him to ask about his sudden change of mind and he said that he had considered us pretty much engaged since I proposed and thought it should be made official since marriage was "inevitable" :-D
Now I'm embarking on a semi-relaxed journey of wedding planning. No date has been discussed, so I figure there's no rush, but I want to gather cheap and fun ideas. So far I've started at the great site DIY Bride.
